The Watch is the law in the town of Tyr’s Fastness and can be counted upon to act just as ably as any group of pseudo-professional militia and thugs would be expected to act. Relatively small in number, the Watch is a hodge-podge of characters ranging from rank and file militia with spears and shields to musclemen that happen to have a club or whatever else they’ve found. Flexibility is a must when dealing with them as one member might be more than willing to take your home and wife for any perceived offense while the other will turn a blind eye for the right price.
Tracing their roots back to the outpost founding of the city, the Watch are partially descendants of the original garrison and partially anyone with an ounce of skill or muscle that is willing to work for coin and for glory. Organization within the Watch is spotty at best due to the disjointed nature of its members, although all of them answer to the Keeper of the Watch.
The current Keeper is Jaric Blackmane, a veteran Watch and survivor of several campaigns, including the infamous Ghostwood campaign that left the Watch with several holes in its ranks, a problem that still persists to the present.
